Meet Dr. Paul Namwanja, Co-founder of VOHAH and volunteer Chief Doctor and manager of CHCB Paul specialises in infectious diseases, cardiac care, minor surgical procedures and day to day facility management.
Meet Kristie Hansen, Co-founder of VOHAH, volunteer Director and primary contact. Kristie has experience in nursing, phlebotomy, implementing healthcare strategies and procedures and VOHAH's project managment and development.
Meet Chris Hansen, Our volunteer Financial and Legal Consultant.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and is a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in Australia. Chris provides the organisation with both
financial and organisational management expertise.
Meet Dr. Ssebatta, CHCB volunteer Cardiologist with many years of experience.
He has a great passion for providing awareness and treatment in cardiac conditions.
Meet Rachel Clarke, VOHAH volunteer Fundraising & Donation Co-ordinator.
Rachel has experience in a wide range of nursing areas. Rachel assists with
co-ordinating fundraising events, sourcing and collecting medical supplies, sourcing financial donations for CHCB and sourcing financial donations for VOHAH's construction projects.
Meet Nicole Clarke, CHCB volunteer Fundraiser & Donation Co-ordinator.
Nicole has experience in nursing and healthcare management. Nicole assists with
organising fundraising events, sourcing and collecting medical supplies and sourcing financial donations for CHCB.
Meet Lillian, CHCB volunteer Physician's Assistant. Lillian has vast skills
and experience in all nursing areas and assists Dr. Paul with day to day facility management and patient treatments.
Meet Kodet, CHCB volunteer Laboratory Technician. Kodet has experience in laboratory testing, result interpretation and reading results. Kodet performs required laboratory testing at CHCB.
Meet Maria, CHCB volunteer Midwife. Maria has experience with all Child and Maternal Health needs.
Projects and programs currently include Community Health Centre Busabsala,
volunteer program, construction of volunteer accomodation, education and sustainable living programs, basic hygiene, health and nurtrition programs, care package and donation distribution, day events organised specific to the current prominent health issues and needs.
Future projects will include a school located in Busabaala, orphanage, microfinance services and day care facility.
Our aim is to provide the people of Busabaala and Waksio district with the tools and services to create a better future.
We endeavour to do this by implementing a number of projects and services.
Our services will be available to everyone irrespective of financial status to ensure we can build a healthy, educated and harmonious village.
We will focus on providing support to the elderly, orphans, the disabled, the disadvantaged and marginalized groups through provision of social support facilities, appropriate healthcare, counselling and empowerment programs.
Our hospital will offer 24 hour care, 7 days a week.
Areas of treatment offered at the hospital are emergency care, HIV testing and treatment, reproductive health, youth health, obstetric and gynecological care, paediatric care, nutritional care, family planning, cardiac care, minor surgeries and general health services.
We endeavour to mobilise youth, women and elders towards achieving better standards of living through education and nutrition, medical care and housing services to achieve social development and life opportunites.
